Someshwara Shri Venkataramana Swami Devastana, an ancient temple, located at the foothills of Agumbe Western Ghats, having a history of 700 years, belongs the Gouda Saraswath Samaj. The presiding dieties are Shri Veera Vittala with his consorts Rukmini and Sathyabhama, Utsava Dieties are Shri Venkataramana with his consorts Shri Devi and Bhoo Devi and Kodandaramachandra with Seetha Devi and Laxman. In addition to these main Dieties other parivara dieties comprises Kaliya Mardana Krishna, Srinivasa with his consorts Shri Devi and Bhoo Devi, Navaneetha Krishna, Laxminarayana, Mahaganapathi and Goddess Mahalaxmi Mookambika.

On all the religious matters and matters pertaining to functioning of the temple, the final authority lies with the Mathadhipathi of Shri Kashi Math Samsthan, Varanasi, as the temple has been affiliated to the customs of Shri Kashi Math Samsthan since its inception. All the events of the temple is performed by the Management Committee and the Temple Priests under the guidance and blessings of Paramapoojya Kashi Mathadhipathi Srimad Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji and Srimad Samyameendra Thirtha Swamiji with whole hearted support of our 8 Pete Samaja Bhandavas namely Someshwara, Hebri, Agumbe, Thirthahalli, Mudradi, Santhekatte, Kajke and Muddur.

In early 1975 the temple was renovated under the leadership of Managing Trustee Late H Devaraya Kamath and all other major developmental works such as construction of Sukrathindra Kala Mandir, Vyasa Raghupathi Mandir, Beautiful Pushkarani, Navagraha Vana took place in 1992- 2004 headed by Late Hebri Anandaray Pai under the Guidance of Paramapoojya Srimad Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji of Shree Kashi Math Samsthan. And also first Sahasra Kumbhabhisheka was held in his period by the divine hands of Srimad Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji on Feb 10th 2000.

In opposite of Shri Venkataramana Swami Devasthana, Shri Hanumantha Temple was built in 1922. The idol was brought from Someshwara Kote and this temple was renovated in 1972 by Late Chitpady Ramakrishna Bhaktha Later on shilamaya temple has been newly constructed in 2021-22.
